About me
My name is Vibeke – and I am crazy about Iceland! When I was first invited to Iceland in 1994 by my then future mother-in-law from Iceland, Agnes, I completely lost my heart.
I remember it as if it were yesterday; I was sitting in the back of the big car with my nose pressed flat against the window all the way from the airport in Keflavik to Reykjavik. WHERE had I ended up? WHAT was all this I was seeing? A little later on that holiday I wrote a postcard home to my parents and little brother. I had lost my heart. On that trip more than 30 years ago, I was not only introduced to a completely unique nature but also to a truly wonderful and loving family.
I almost always have new plans in mind for the next trip north. There is always something new to explore! And otherwise, we are always happy to return to very special areas – and of course to the family.

To dare is to live! There are many true and beautiful quotes about living life. We must dare while we can – this is something that matters deeply! No one should end up sitting there one day thinking: if only I had dared… Moving about in Icelandic nature has pushed my personal boundaries enormously! There is endless gratitude for the opportunity that once came along.
